Six Years in the Making

Image
I have been blogging for 6 years now, hard to believe really! Anyway I have just been looking through my blogroll and bloggers that have come and gone over the years. When I first started blogging I spent a lot of time visiting new sites and meeting new bloggers so to speak; a few of them I still share comments with, one of them has become my friend (Hey Kyle !) which is amazing, but many of them have not blogged for some time or have deleted their blogs altogether. When I first started out there was a lovely lady called Joni who used to blog about her farm. Unfortunately she decided she did not have time to keep her blog up and deleted it. (I have just spotted that she started it up again this year although has yet to post! Come back to the blogosphere Joni!) There was also a blogger called Lone Chatelaine who I used to share lots of comments with. She was a lady looking for love; the last post she made on her public blog was a picture of her hand wearing an engagement...

Enter The Dragon

Image
I am delighted to announce the arrival of my friend, and Mr Dancin's sister, Sensory Dragon to the world of Blogging over at Brambles, Rambles & Shambles ; a blog predominantly dedicated to the development of her garden, which is a restoration project in progress. If you have an interest in gardening and home produce I recommend you keep an eye on this blog. I am looking forward to being able to see the developments in the garden in between our visits to Cornwall, which tend to be less frequent than we would like given the distance between us. Welcome to the Blogosphere Sensory Dragon ! Happy Blogging! (Image Credit: Clipart N Graphics Haven )

Camera Critters #4.1 - Recommendation

I have just responded to a comment from Eileen in MD posted on my Camera Critters shot below and went to investigate her blog. I came across these amazing shots of a Bald Eagle and wanted to send any visitors coming here her way as they are just stunning. Pop over and click on the images to enlarge, it is really worth it!

A Close Shave

Image
My Mum ( AKA Bowledover ) is extremely gifted in a variety of crafts and has recently made two sheep, Shaun and Shirley, inspired by Shaun of 'A Close Shave' by Nick Park, creator of Wallace and Gromit. I just had to post something to direct people to have a look at them as they are just amazing. I do not think she will be taking orders as I know these have been a personal project however please pop over and have a look, they are...well they are perfect and I can hear them bleating as I look at them! A Blog of Note

I have made a wonderful discovery today in the form of Tom Hardy in Australia at Thomas Wentworth Hardy's blog and hope he does not mind me telling you all about it. I have been blogging for a while now and have a small and wonderful group of regular bloggers whose lives I like to keep up with and who I consider friends if you will. Also since joining Sky Watch Friday I have found some fabulous bloggers around the world who share several of my passions in the form of photography, sky watching and birds. Today I found this blog....well actually Tom found me and I followed his link back and what I found took my breath away and also made for a very interesting read! I would therefore like to recommend to all who pass by here a trip to Pan Riviera , I do not think you will be disappointed.

A Welcome to Blogging

I am absolutely delighted to welcome my very good friend from Greece to blogging at Zabie's Blog ! It will be a brilliant way to keep up with each others lives, in addition to the book like letters we write to each other every once in a while....although I think my return letter is a little overdue! Zabie has more artistic talents than I can list in addition to being a fabulous Mum. Definitely a good blog to keep an eye on!

Treasure

I found out yesterday that Joni over at My Piece of Heaven has closed her blog. She runs a farm with her husband and also works as a medical transcriber. Apparently Joni is increasing her hours at work and she has decided that with the extra work and the farm to run she won't be able to fit blogging in, at least not to the standard that she wishes to. I completely understand but I am sad that I won't be able to visit her blog anymore. Joni posted everyday and displayed amazing photos of the beautiful and varied wildlife in her part of the world, including her new puppy Cooper! I am really happy that things are going well for Joni but I am sorry that I did not get a chance to tell her how much I valued her and her blog before she went. It's a funny thing this virtual socialising, connections are made between people. There are a few blogs that I visit that really mean a lot to me, I get a great deal of joy out of visiting them and corresponding with the author. They may not k...

Eureka!

I came across the most amazing blog this afternoon called Tips for New Bloggers . It has been nothing short of a revelation for me! Ok I know I am prone to exaggeration but really...after months of trying to get tips for effective blog editing they have answered all of the questions I wanted to ask and given me a few new things to try. If you are having any issues what so ever I really recommend it!

Scotland!

I just found this fabulous blog care of Lone Chatelaine , called Scotland . It is a collection of images from the country. I had to share it as Scotland is where I would always be if given the choice. There is no part of the country that is not beautiful. I mean even those 'burgers to be' look good this morning and I am a vegetarian! Anyway have a look, the pictures are truly awesome.
