Time to Come Home

Well, I'm back! We have had the most brilliant holiday and wonderful weather. Today is a day of acclimatising to living indoors again after two weeks being totally outside with the tent; something all of us are finding it hard to get back into.

The garden looks good but dry and I was delighted to return home to a good crop of tomatoes!

We will soon reach the part of the day when work clothes need to be ironed for the morrow! My partner starts a new job tomorrow and I am looking forward to getting back into the swing of it at my place.

However for a few more hours we are officially on holiday so I am off now to enjoy the garden and the sun! I leave you with a couple of holiday picks.

  1. Welcome home! Missed you and your lovely picture posts.

Looks like you saw some cool places and things. I especially like the one with the sailboat.

  2. Hello! Thank you. It is good to be back and visiting special bloggers.

Did you see the face in the cliff at the headland? That was the view from our tent at campsite three for the last 6 days. It was amazing. Both us and the dogs are a little depressed to be back but holidays cannot last forever!

I hope you are really well and having a lovely Sunday evening after your dinner party?

  3. I was just thinking about you and wondering how you are doing. :-) I am glad you had a great time on your holiday. The photos are lovely! Just thirty-three days until mine begins . . .

  4. Hey Literary Feline! Good to hear from you. 33 days and counting then, what sort of holiday do you have planned? Mine turned out to be a lot more relaxing than normal, we usually walk all day every day but this one was more about sitting and reading which suited me fine! Have a fab break when you get there.

  5. Hubby and I are going to Hawaii in September. We actually won't be leaving for another 37 days, but my vacation starts before then. I'm really looking forward to going. It's been years since I was last there, and at the time my family lived there I was too young to really remember anything.

  6. Wow! That will be amazing. I have never been but it seems a beautiful location. If you feel like posting pictures after I would love to see them.

Do you surf or such or is it a relax in the sun holiday? I envy you the sea, whenever I see film of Hawaii the sea always looks awesome. Do you still have family there to visit?

Blimey this is almost as good as a conversation! thanks for your prompt message back!

  7. I do hope to take photos and if they are any good I'll post a few. :-)

I don't surf, but I think it would be fun to try! I imagine we'll be doing a lot of sightseeing. We are going to stay on Oahu for the first part of our trip and then on the big island for the second. I really want to visit Pearl Harbor and revisit the area where I lived. I'm sure we'll be spending time on the beaches! My husband wants to see the volcanoes on the big island.

I have no family there. My dad was in the military and stationed at a base on Oahu, and we lived there for three years.

I do have an online friend who lives on the big island and I am looking forward to meeting her.

I am really looking forward to going. My husband and I wanted to do something special for our 10th wedding anniversary and decided a trip to Hawaii would be the best way to go. We actually were married in the month of July, but September was when we could both get the time off of work.

  8. (Sorry for the break in commenting, on route home from work!)

That sounds really good, and Happy 10th Anniversary to you both. I hope you have the most brilliant time and really can't wait to see some pictures. Remember you are always your own worse critic so post a few whatever!

I hope you have a lovely time with your friend too, it must be very exciting. I often think if I ever travel extensively how good it would be to meet up with a few folk I know only via the internet.

I hope the next 33 days (or is it 32 now?) fly by!
