English Folk Verse (c.1870) - The Fifth of November Remember, remember! The fifth of November, The Gunpowder treason and plot; I know of no reason Why the Gunpowder treason Should ever be forgot! Guy Fawkes and his companions Did the scheme contrive, To blow the King and Parliament All up alive. Threescore barrels, laid below, To prove old England's overthrow. But, by God's providence, him they catch, With a dark lantern, lighting a match! A stick and a stake...
I love that picture!! I have been looking for just the right spider's web to photograph so far I haven't found one.
ReplyDeleteHey Joni! I went out at 6am on Sunday to photograph the dawn and took 39 pictures. When I got home they were all pants and I got rid of the lot, went out in the garden and took this! I need not have made the journey out! Although watching the sun come up is always lovely.
ReplyDeleteThe thing I have found with webs is they need a good background to show them off. I was lucky with this one.
