I grabbed this shot one day on our camping trip. The buzzard was a regular visitor to the field and had just delighted me with a close fly over. He hovered over my head for ages and I allowed myself the pleasure of just watching before I decided it was worth a mad dash for my camera and a quick lens change. My big lens takes better shots from the tripod as the small movements of my hand and breathing make for blurred images but I was pleased to be able to get this anyway. Wow, very cool photo! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is fabulous. You should definitely enter that in a competition.
ReplyDeleteAthene challenged Arachne to a contest to see who could weave the best, following Arachne's boasts about her skills as a weaver.
ReplyDeleteThe people would judge the finer work of the two.
Athene wove using the clouds, while Arachne used the finest yarn.
Arachne did not win and her life was changed from that of a young girl to that of a spider, which many of are called Arachnids.
What a wonderful web Arachne has produced for your photo. What a good eye you have for composition.
Hey L^2. Thank you muchly; a very clever Arachne indeed!
ReplyDeleteHello Mac's Niece! Bowledover and Lord L suggested that also. I cannot take much credit really but I should have a go. I am really enjoying looking for beautiful moments to snap at. My second job of the day, after putting the kettle on, is wandering out into the back garden and snapping a few shots of the sunrise and clouds!
Bowldeover, there is only one thing to do with that story, see post Athene & Arachne, 21st September 2007, around tea time. Thank you, that's beautiful.
