I found out yesterday that Joni over at My Piece of Heaven has closed her blog. She runs a farm with her husband and also works as a medical transcriber. Apparently Joni is increasing her hours at work and she has decided that with the extra work and the farm to run she won't be able to fit blogging in, at least not to the standard that she wishes to. I completely understand but I am sad that I won't be able to visit her blog anymore. Joni posted everyday and displayed amazing photos of the beautiful and varied wildlife in her part of the world, including her new puppy Cooper! I am really happy that things are going well for Joni but I am sorry that I did not get a chance to tell her how much I valued her and her blog before she went. Wow, very cool photo! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is fabulous. You should definitely enter that in a competition.
ReplyDeleteAthene challenged Arachne to a contest to see who could weave the best, following Arachne's boasts about her skills as a weaver.
ReplyDeleteThe people would judge the finer work of the two.
Athene wove using the clouds, while Arachne used the finest yarn.
Arachne did not win and her life was changed from that of a young girl to that of a spider, which many of are called Arachnids.
What a wonderful web Arachne has produced for your photo. What a good eye you have for composition.
Hey L^2. Thank you muchly; a very clever Arachne indeed!
ReplyDeleteHello Mac's Niece! Bowledover and Lord L suggested that also. I cannot take much credit really but I should have a go. I am really enjoying looking for beautiful moments to snap at. My second job of the day, after putting the kettle on, is wandering out into the back garden and snapping a few shots of the sunrise and clouds!
Bowldeover, there is only one thing to do with that story, see post Athene & Arachne, 21st September 2007, around tea time. Thank you, that's beautiful.
