The Quiet Before the Storm
Well today promises to be an absolute humdinger! Everything has really kicked off in my work life at the moment, lots of good stuff and some not so good but what can you do!
Anyway, I am expecting a very hectic day today. I woke early having managed to reinstall my six o'clock wake up time following the cold and dark winter mornings when I could not get out of bed for love nor money.
I have sent some early morning emails to sort a few staff things out and now I am sitting here enjoying a quick blog, a big mug of tea and reminding myself not to worry about the unknown.
There are millions of possible outcomes to every situation however we do spend a lot of time imagining the worst ones!
So I am practising mind control and am not going to let myself worry about what has not even happened yet.

Happy weekend all, keep smiling and as Ben Elton once said 'Don't Let the Awkward People Drag you Down!' (OK so he did not say awkward people but I do not swear on my blog!)
Oh and just in case you were wondering how the top picture fits in to this post it is a shot of John Wayne from The Quiet Man!

Hi Dancin' Smartie! Love your posts and, hey! just saw that group OK Go in the recent Rolling Stone magazine! Had never heard of them until I saw your video with the treadmills (which I loved and energized me big time) ... thought of you when I read it. You have shown me lots of interesting music videos and I am grateful ... but also I am grateful for your friendship, your kind comments and I think we would be friends if we lived near each other (well, I do feel like your friend, anyway) and I'd share a big mug o'tea with ya. You asked about my meditating in one comment ... and I am quite new to it and used to get flustered thinking that it had to be a certain way and that my mind was always racing to and fro and wouldn't seem to settle down, but I realized that's OK and just watch it like a little movie in my head and let the thoughts flit by and finally, like clearing away debris from a flower bed, there comes the new growth of pending flowerbuds and what have you and I sometimes am graced with different colors in my mind's eye (or third eye, or brow chakra, as it is called) and esp love the swirling purple and when it comes it's like, "oh, there you are!" but I also try to visualize the chakras starting from the base, seeing that color of red and it sparkling and twinkling all through that area, moving up thru the next (orange), and next (yellow), and next (green), and next (blue) and (purple) and (indigo) and (dark purple--at the crown ... all in the order of the rainbow prisms, and all I envision as laser-y and twinkling and spreading from the ground up thru my spine and out in all directions until it is risen up in all the colors and finally starts spurting out the top of my head in a rainbow of "rain" pouring up and out and down me, drenching me with healing energies, and, of course, it often takes a bit to stay on track and envision this, but, wow! is it awesome when I can do it, and it should take no more really than 30 minutes and no more. So ... give it a try sometime when you have a half hour uninterrupted, esp if there's some sunshine streaming thru the windows and you can know that Light that is within you, my dear Dancin' Friend. And you are so right, don't bother to worry about things that haven't even happened. So much energy and time is wasted when we worry and fret about imaginings, we can tend to bring them onto ourselves, when it also works to "be here now" and in that here and now that worrisome matter doesn't exist, now, does it?
ReplyDeleteBlessings on your weekend, SisSTAR Dancin'!
;oD KLH - keep laughin' honey!
(sorry...I can go on and on, eh?)
Hey Bud! Please never apologise for the length of your comments, I love to hear from you, it is almost like we are writing letters!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment and the brilliant information about meditation. I will make time on a regular basis to practice and will let you know how I get on.
You are right bud, we would be good friends. And although we have never met I greatly treasure our blogging friendship.
I am currently sitting at my PC on this glorious Sunday morning with a big mug of tea hoping the sun is with you.
I have lots of posts planned for today. I took my fella tank driving yesterday as a birthday gift and have found my positive side after a few blue days last week dealing with work issues and I want to share them!
Anyway for now I have tank videos to edit and show to Mr Dancin so let me just say Happy Sunday, keep smiling, love and hugs SisSTAR Dancin. (Thanks for the title of SisSTAR Dancin! xxx)
