Scotland!

I just found this fabulous blog care of Lone Chatelaine, called Scotland. It is a collection of images from the country. I had to share it as Scotland is where I would always be if given the choice. There is no part of the country that is not beautiful. I mean even those 'burgers to be' look good this morning and I am a vegetarian! Anyway have a look, the pictures are truly awesome.

    Aren't those some fantastic pics on that blog? I want to see Scotland so bad. My family's heritage is Scottish, so I've grown up with the whole Scottish and tartan thing all my life. I can't believe I haven't traveled there yet.

    Hello! They really are amazing photographs, I predict many a visit back to their blog! Thanks for that! I know there are amazing mountains and awe inspiring locations throughout the US but you should try and get to Scotland sometime if you can. It's bloomin' miles but you know atleast one person in the UK! :0)

    Hey Lady Banana! I lived up north for some years and having Scotlad on your doorstep is brilliant but I would also really recommend: Teesdale, Northumerland and ofcourse the Lakes.

I grabbed this shot one day on our camping trip. The buzzard was a regular visitor to the field and had just delighted me with a close fly over. He hovered over my head for ages and I allowed myself the pleasure of just watching before I decided it was worth a mad dash for my camera and a quick lens change. My big lens takes better shots from the tripod as the small movements of my hand and breathing make for blurred images but I was pleased to be able to get this anyway. I found out yesterday that Joni over at My Piece of Heaven has closed her blog. She runs a farm with her husband and also works as a medical transcriber. Apparently Joni is increasing her hours at work and she has decided that with the extra work and the farm to run she won't be able to fit blogging in, at least not to the standard that she wishes to. I completely understand but I am sad that I won't be able to visit her blog anymore. Joni posted everyday and displayed amazing photos of the beautiful and varied wildlife in her part of the world, including her new puppy Cooper! I am really happy that things are going well for Joni but I am sorry that I did not get a chance to tell her how much I valued her and her blog before she went. It's a funny thing this virtual socialising, connections are made between people.
