Camera Critters #4 - Buzzard
I grabbed this shot one day on our camping trip. The buzzard was a regular visitor to the field and had just delighted me with a close fly over. He hovered over my head for ages and I allowed myself the pleasure of just watching before I decided it was worth a mad dash for my camera and a quick lens change. My big lens takes better shots from the tripod as the small movements of my hand and breathing make for blurred images but I was pleased to be able to get this anyway. The architecture is more interesting to me than the sky. It looks like some where in Turkey. Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteHello! It is Inverness in Scotland. This was the view out of my hotel window last March when I did some work up there. I spent ages watching the gulls on the roof. Unfortunately my window did not open much so all of the shots were taken through slightly dirty glass!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot.... I thought I'd already commented here, anyhow thanks for stopping by... you asked about taking pictures in 'RAW'.. my answer is no I don't and I'm not even sure if my camera would do it.. :O)
ReplyDeleteI do at times enhance with the help of Googles free download called Picasa3 I also find it easy to resize using that.
I also think that Canons lences on the S5 IS are very good. Hope this helps.
Tom.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful.I love the architecture and especially the lighting you captured.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful structure and light in your picture.
ReplyDeleteTom, thanks for the info. I am experimenting with RAW at the moment. I also use Picasa3, it is wonderful and very easy to use. I got the free trial of photoshop once and could not make head nor tail of it!
ReplyDeletePoutalicious, the buildings were in the town centre of Inverness, North West Scotland. The street is a mixture of bars and shops with flats above. The nooks, crannies and chimneys were so beautiful and a haven for gulls.
Thank you all for your lovely comments.
Funny, I thought that it was a photograph from when you were in Wales.
ReplyDeleteI recall the cackling of the gulls, sounding like witches brewing and squabling amongst themselves.
Lovely picture.
