Toys for Tomboys

I am delighted to announce the arrival of my new truck! I give you 'The Pup Mobile'! Don't worry I am not calling it that or anything else for that matter, I have never named one of my vehicles, however it will be perfect for taking the dogs out and about with me to site and I cannot wait to get behind the wheel!

  1. Heigh Ho Silver...and away!
Hey, Budette, there's nothing wrong with naming your vehicle! I've been in love with my 1994 Thunderbird, Moonlight Blue with a Mocha interior ;oD since it had only 3 miles on it. Now it's only got a little under 91,000! Not bad, eh? I have matching Egyptian Falcon decals in the back little windows ... Thunderbirds of sorts. So, if you have Silver, you must be the Lone Stranger - tee hee!
p.s. I like Lisa from the Simpsons the best, too. Actually, she's the only one I like any more. Love her saxophone. TGIFF!! yes, 2 "f"s! Do you have snow? Are you warm now and your heating fixed? I'm glad you love trees, so do I.
p.s. do you know the musician Keb Mo? He's pretty awesome.

  3. Hey Bud! You are right there is absolutely nothing wrong with naming your car, or anything else for that matter. Our washing machine is called John as it is a Candy make, in memory of the great comedian and actor who we love so much, all of my houseplants have names, in fact I am the worse anthropomorphic I know! I have just never named a car.

I can't believe you have a T-Bird, how cool is that! (I like cars!!!)So what is your car called?

Our heating is getting there thank goodness as it is freezing here. Our land lady sent a plumber round this week and he has flushed out the system and replaced several radiators. It is an improvement but there are still cold patches. Thank you for asking.

Trees are my job as well as a love of mine, I like all things outdoors.

I have not heard of Keb Mo however had come to trust your taste in music absolutely and will therefore go and check him out immediately! If I may return the favour I do not know if you like Progressive Rock (Pink Floyd, Yes, Rush and the likes) but if you do may I recommend Porcupine Tree? They are currently my favourite band and I anticipate they will be retaining the title for some time to come!

I hope you are having a great weekend? The dogs have been out with me all morning and so are bagging some zzzzz's on their beds. I am enjoying catching up on some quality PC time. I do so love Saturdays!

Take care bud and bye for now. xx

  4. Hey Tom! How lovely to hear from you. I hope you are very well? I am glad you like the Sky Watch shots and the truck, it is just beautiful and I am counting down the hours until I can bring it home and then take it out!

Do not worry about my Landy, as a 1959 Series II it was never really suitable for the kind of mileage I do for work each year, however I am looking forward to getting it back and restoring it completely. I love having something to tinker with, take apart, clean and put back together. We have had some other priorities these past few months but I really must get it back soon.

Have you been out and about at all in this weather and have you had much snow?

The shots you got of the fog in the valley are just amazing, I wish I had seen it.

So very glad to have you back in the blogging world. Be well and keep smiling.

  5. I call my T-Bird "Birdie" or "Sweetie" and thank her all the time for her devotion. I am sad to say she has some rust now ;o( but it was too expensive for me to fix and I'm not a "car fixin'" person. Used to have a license plate "frame" saying "Happiness is a Blue Bird" (two words, not the bluebird) and bought her her own electric blue blanket throw with gigantic sunflowers on it, and of course, moon and star blue crystals for the rearview mirror.
I wish I could get in the Skywatch Fridays but I can't quite figure it out yet (not too good at links, or shall I say, no good at all?)
Thanks for making trees healthier. I just got new photos back and will post a "cosmic" fallen branch from a really tall Tree of Heaven (yeah, I know, not the greatest tree, but this branch which lives on is unbelievable!)
Glad you loved John Candy, too. I cried so when he died. He was hilarious but also poignant.
I will check out your Porcupine Tree. Are they prickly? tee hee.
    Love, SisSTAR Bud ^;^

  6. p.s. I name my houseplants, too! I had at least 60 Christmas cactus blooms, since Thanksgiving (11/27) and still going strong! It's been just amazing this yr--and makes me feel connected to my grandma and my mom who have been gone a long time.

  7. Hey Bud, cool name for your car! I think mine will just remain The Truck but I am attached already!

Can I help with Sky Watch at all? To link on the Sky Watch site you just put your blog address and identity in the linking box after you post. You can do this anytime From 7.30pm on Thursday nights.

Other than that just grab a link from their site to put on your sidebar. If I can help please let me know as you would be welcome and a valued addition to the weekly activity. I would love to see some skies over your way.

Have a wonderful Sunday, bye for now!
